Compelled to Tell – Lesson 1
“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.” 2 Corinthians 5:14 (NIV)
This Sunday we introduced the church theme for 2019 – Compelled. The Bible says that we should be compelled by the love of Christ to share the love of Christ with others. For the next six weeks, we will examine and be challenged by the Word of God to share our faith with others; we are Compelled to Tell.
1. Share a time when you felt God compelled to meet a need and/or share your faith with someone.
2. Read Mark 5:18-20, Luke 5:12-15, and John 4:25-30, 39. What do each of the passage of Scripture share in common?
3. How would you describe the excitement and joy that each of the people in the above Scriptures felt after they encountered Jesus? Why do you think they felt so compelled to share their stories with others?
At the end of this 1st message, you were challenged to write the name of one person who you with whom you need to share Christ. Close out this session praying for that name(s) and ask God make you bold and compelled to tell them about the Good New of Jesus.
